The Terms and Conditions displayed below are a very important part of the booking process. Here you will find everything you need to know about our tour policies.
GeoIceland ehf. is a Tour Operator authorized and registered by the Icelandic Tourist Board with ID#: 530212-0840.
All bookings are to be made trough our web-page www.geoiceland.com.
Please check all details on your confirmation carefully to ensure they are correct. In the event of discrepancy, please contact Geoiceland Customer Support immediately.

We require full payment at the time of the booking.
We accept all major credit cards, except American Express and Dinners.
VALIDITY OF PRICES
All prices at the Geoiceland website are per person unless otherwise specified, and are displayed including VAT and all other taxes.
Prices shown on our website are based on current purchasing prices in Iceland and listed in ISK (Icelandic Krona), and are subject to changes over time.
GeoIceland declines responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, sickness or changes in schedules caused by weather, strikes or any other irregularity outside our control. GeoIceland reserves the right to alter routes, prices, itineraries and/or departure times when necessary.
If you have any problem during your tours, please contact us.
We recommend that you do so before your departure from Iceland, so we can arrange for compensation when necessary.
All information on our website (www.geoiceland.com) is subject to change. GeoIceland reserves the right to alter/change/correct mistakes that may appear on our website during updates or changes.
All cancellations must be made by e-mail and confirmed by Geoiceland customer service.
Cancellations made with more than 48 hours notice will receive full refund of the payment, minus 2,4% of the credit card charge.
Cancellations made between 48 to 24 hours prior to departure will be charged 50% of the total.
Cancellations made within 24 hours prior to departure and "no-shows" will be charged 100% of the total.
For the cruise ships, the cancellation policy does not apply if the ship does not make it to the harbor. In case of the ship not reaching the pier, you'll receive a full refund.
If a tour is canceled due to situations beyond our control or because of minimum numbers not being reached, you will be notified and receive a full refund.

Frequently Asked Questions
-All the tours are operated in English.
-German, Swedish, Spanish, and French available for private groups.
-The concept is a minibus tour, with microphone commentary during the transit between stops, and once at the sites, free time to explore the location by yourself.
-All the tours are quite easy going, outside the Glacier Walk or the Snowmobiling (nothing extreme, but requires a minimum fitness).
-We have walks around the areas, but for people with mobility problems, or those who just don't feel like walking, they can always remain on the minibus for the transit.
-We operate the tours ALWAYS by Mercedes Sprinter minibuses.
-The maximum size of the groups is 19 passengers.
-All our vehicles meet all the requirements to operate tours in Iceland.
-In some occasions we hire vehicles from other companies, but always minibuses.
-We have some storage space on the minibuses, so 3 or 4 large suitcases, or a wheel-chair, can be stored on the vehicles if necessary.
-All of our staff are experienced driver-guides, in possession of the necessary licenses to transport passengers in Iceland.
-We put lots of effort on having good guides. We see them as a source of information, but also, and mostly, we focus on their human value.
-In case of taking several tours with us, we always try to have you with different guides. It adds an extra perspective to your experience.
-We offer free pickup from all the accommodations on the Great Reykjavik Area.
-The pickup starts at 8:30am for all the tours, and goes on until 9:00am. So you just need to be ready by 8:30, and within 30 minutes you'll be picked up.
-If you are coming from the airport, we can also pick you up at the BSI bus terminal.
-We also pickup by the cruise ship terminal.
-We require full payment at the time of the booking.

-We operate with small groups, so a few seats make a big difference for us. If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible.
-The tours are available within the advertised period, but we reserve the right to cancel departures, depending on weather conditions and minimum group sizes. If GeoIceland ehf is the one canceling the tour, you'll receive a full refund. In case of cancellation due to minimum group sizes, you'll receive at least a 3 days notice, and we'll try to help you finding an alternative.
-Iceland is a place with very unstable weather, so you can expect anything at any time.
-Bring your sunglasses and your raincoat everywhere.
-During the winter you may find icy walkways, so having a pair of ice-walkers is not a bad idea during the winter. Quite often we do have some ice-walkers on the minibuses that you can borrow, but not always.
-All our tours are rather easy going, so no need of any special gear, outside the Glacier Walk on the South, where you need some shoes rigid enough as to tie the crampons without hurting your feet. You can borrow some footwear for the Glacier Walk on the South Coast.
-Lunch is not included in any of the tours
-We always stop at some place where you can buy some food. A picnic in the case of the Glacier Walk during the South Coast.
-The gastronomic selection once you leave Reykjavik is quite limited. So, even though the prices are the ones of fine dinning, don't expect any fancy places or menus.
-Giving recommendations about food is always difficult, and we have got feedback on both ends of the scale. Food being very good, and food being expensive and bad.
